Hi! How are you all cutting your baby’s toenails? Literally my little one will not let me. He pulls his feet away or kicks my hands away anytime I try. I’ve tried putting Ms. Rachel on, giving him a toy or food to distract him, doing it while he’s sleeping, everything and nothing works. Any advice?

I usually have to tag team it with my husband. He distracts her with a song and I hold her foot as still as possible to get it done.

Try it when he is sleeping. So much easier.

I do it while my husband reads books with my LO. It distracts him enough so I can somewhat cut his toenails but there’s a lot of pulling away involved still

I do naptime mani pedis while she’s sleeping. But I don’t clip/cut I only ever file. I use a glass nail file so there’s no risk of hurting her skin if she does flinch, works great!

We got this Frida baby nail buffer for our baby shower and I don’t think I could do it without this! It’s still hard to keep them still, but at least there is less room for injury!

Do it when he’s sleeping. If not mine usually knows it’s spa time and I give a toy in his hands so he is busy same with his finger nails too

haha held down, while singing a song and using a nail buffer then crossing my fingers if none of that works, my husband holds her and I can use one hand to hold the leg and the other hand is holding the nail buffer

I do when he’s sleeping, in the high chair, or on the changing table when my husband plays with him.
