Not everything needs to be a touchscreen! I MISS BUTTONS!!!! 5. We REALLY did not need to reinvent the wheel with so many things. Glass worked perfectly fine!!!! 6. I am so sick of QR codes. Wouldn't it use less ink to just...you know...PUT THE HOURS RIGHT THERE? 7. Running for your life? Quick, scan this QR code for tips! 8. Is there no end...to this darkness, this cruelty, this...hatred? 9. I once had hope for humanity...foolish, naive hope...and then I was asked to log in to use my toothbrush. 10. We. Do. Not. Need. An. App. For. EVERYTHING. 11. Why does everything have a subscription nowadays??? 12. God forbid you have to cancel a subscription. They'll do a whole song and dance before they allow it. 13. Or write a whole essay. 14. Making you call to cancel a subscription is every introvert's nightmare. (It's me. I'm the introvert.) 15. Gee, I'm sure glad I can see how the food looks, so I can get an idea of what I'm ordering and if I even want it. 16. This is why I'm convinced adding screens to our perfectly good tech was a mistake. Did we need our oven to tell us the weather in the first place? 17. As if our Constitutional rights weren't being threatened enough in the US right now... 18. Oh cool, even if you pay to avoid ads, you may still get them. That seems fair. 19. Good luck using an ad-blocker, too. 20. Hm. Well, as long as they have a good reason! 21. There was a sweet period of a few years when built-in GPS screens in cars were great. Now they have A) way too many distracting apps and B) BS like this. 22. Again...WHY DO SO MANY THINGS NEED SOFTWARE UPDATES NOW??? And why do they seem to choose the worst possible moment? 23. Case in point about touch screens and software updates. 24. Um, no, I do NOT want a doctor using AI to diagnose me??? 25. Telehealth was a mistake. 26. I am so, so sick of CAPTCHAs. Every time I sit there, wondering if that one pixel of the item they want you to click that's in another square counts. Every time I'm wrong. 27. Soon, they'll have you solving quantum physics to prove you're human, or going on a dangerous voyage through an unfamiliar land to demonstrate the power of friendship. 28. If I have to add two-factor authentication to one more thing, I am going to go berserk. 29. Why does everything need the internet nowadays? 30. If you have a physical game or DVD, why on Earth would you need the internet to play it??? 31. I guess those of us who even still own physical media should count ourselves lucky in times like this. 32. I just want to actually watch the movie!!!! And also not have to sneak into a theater thirty minutes late and try to find my seat in the dark if I want to miss the previews! 33. Ads have no place on Google Maps. Please...let me reach my destination in peace. 34. Remember all those futuristic movies with cute little robotic helpers? Never in our most horrid dreams could we have imagined what we would receive instead: utterly incompetent AI chatbots. 35. Truly, so helpful! 36. Why would an exam software need to do all this??? I'm surprised it didn't ask for your firstborn at that point. 37. I hate when apps do this. Or you think it's free, and then literally anything but logging in costs money. 38. This is the worst bait-and-switch, too. They never tell you upfront!!! 39. QR codes are one thing, but then needing to make an account, too? Restaurants have gone too far. 40. In case you can't read this, the first step is to scan the code (starting off great). The second step is to CREATE A PROFILE (Why?). Then you have to scan it AGAIN to unlock the door (will the horrors never cease?). 41. Is being annoyed about packaging a boomer thing??? I feel like it is, and it pisses me off. 42. This size box was NOT necessary. 43. What does this even mean???? I feel ancient. 44. I have no idea what this means, either, but it feels shady. 45. They do this on purpose and it pisses me off! 46. Tip culture is out of control. Why are we being asked to tip when they could just pay their workers more? (Also...these are already 129 euros!) 47. Automatic gratuity always feels like a scam, especially because I feel like they're hoping you don't notice and tip 20% on top of it. 48. What are all these random fees nowadays? 49. I swear, they make them up. 50. Am I remembering things wrong, or are some of these fees new? Back in the old days, I feel like DoorDash and similar delivery apps weren't quite as bad. 51. Maybe this is more a millennial gripe than a boomer one, but I feel like a grandma when I complain about it. Get kids out of Sephora!!! They should be out playing!!!! 52. This is me with Snapchat. I do NOT want notifications. STOP ASKING! 53. At this point, I think my Alexa knows me better than I know myself. Sometimes she'll talk in the middle of the night. I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING ME SLEEP, ALEXA, YOU CREEP! 54. Anyone else endlessly annoyed when books use photos from the movie/TV show instead of the original cover? 55. Or worse, they have a nonremovable "now on Netflix!" or "soon to be a major motion picture!" sticker on them? 56. And finally, I'll end on one I think boomers, millennials, Gen X, Gen Z, and even Gen Alpha can agree on...which is locking EVERYTHING behind glass doors at every CVS, Walgreens, etc. Is the money they save on theft really more than the money they lose on customers walking out because they have to wait 20 minutes for an item (that they could still run off and steal, btw)?
